CHICAGO, Illinois - OrangeCat Racing is thrilled to announce that reigning Quad Lock Superbike Champion Bobby Fong will join the team for the 2027 MotoAmerica season alongside Sean Dylan Kelly with the continued factory support of BMW Motorrad Motorsport.

Bringing years of experience, proven race-winning speed, and an uncompromising competitive spirit, Fong's arrival marks an exciting new chapter for the Chicago-based racing organization as it sets its sights on the top step of the podium once again.

Fong enters 2027 riding the momentum of an incredible 2026 campaign that saw him capture his first MotoAmerica Superbike Championship following one of the most dramatic title battles in recent memory. Fong delivered six race victories throughout the season, including a remarkable late-season charge that culminated in back-to-back wins at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

The announcement comes on the heels of a landmark 2026 season for OrangeCat Racing. With Sean Dylan Kelly leading the charge aboard the alpha Racing-prepared BMW M 1000 RR, the team established itself as a consistent frontrunner in MotoAmerica's premier class. Kelly delivered three race victories alongside thirteen podiums throughout the season keeping OrangeCat Racing at the forefront of the championship battle all the way to the season finale, ultimately securing second overall in the Superbike standings.

Looking ahead to 2027, OrangeCat Racing is eager to begin an exciting new chapter with Bobby Fong joining Sean Dylan Kelly in a formidable two-rider Superbike lineup. With both riders bringing exceptional talent, determination, and a shared hunger for victory, the team is focused on pushing the boundaries of performance and raising the bar in MotoAmerica’s premier class. Together, OrangeCat Racing, Fong, and Kelly are ready to make 2027 a season to remember.

“I’m pumped to hear Bobby is joining us on the team! We were teammates on Supersport bikes back in 2019, so I know Bobby really well and I’m excited to be teaming up with him on Superbikes now. I can’t wait for 2027, and I know we are going to work hard to put both BMWs up front!”

Jeff Connors – Team Principal

“Signing Bobby Fong for 2027 and 2028 is a big moment for OrangeCat Racing. We’ve had a great relationship with Bobby through our past experiences with him as a competitor, and we know the kind of talent, work ethic, and attitude he brings. Alongside SDK, we believe we have a pairing that will drive the development of our superbike. Two riders who push each other, learn from each other, and share the same goal will only make this team stronger. We thank BMW Motorrad Motorsport and alpha Racing for their partnership, and we look forward to working closely with them to give Bobby and SDK the support and equipment they need to win. We’re excited for what’s ahead.”
